Less than 4m in distance and 500ft of ascent gives you great views from the 470m summit of&nbsp;Cefn Gwyngul, which is topped by a trig point and is on open ground. A really good walk this one and parking is at a carpark next to a nice looking pub with a good beer garden, so you could easily plan this walk around a meal or drink and you could take in the reservoir and waterfall nearby as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The walk starts near the pub (<a href=\"https:\/\/brynffynonhotel.co.uk\/\">The Brynffynon<\/a>) and Saint Gwynno Church, where the legendary athlete\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Guto_Nyth_Br%C3%A2n\">Guto Nyth Br\u00e2n<\/a>\u00a0(1700\u20131737) is buried in the churchyard. You&#8217;ll find the left turn easily enough, that takes you up another track and to the other side of the hill, swinging right up onto the top of the ridgeway and through a fence &#8211; it has been flattened &#8211;
