The walking is smooth tarmac so is great for kids to scoot or cycle &#8211; as there is a dedicated cycle lane all the way as well. There is also a park before the barrage and plenty of places to eat and drink. It can be quite exposed and windy so make sure you have layers if you are walking this in winter.
