The route offers multiple pubs for food and drinks and facilities at the start of the walk &#8211; including toilets and a kids play park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/uponnothing\/53129319553\/in\/dateposted-public\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53129319553_f1296c41c0_b.jpg\" alt=\"Canal Walking\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">You&#8217;ll pass under a few bridges along the way<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There is free parking in Llangynidr and toilet facilities close by. The walk starts by crossing the road and heading down a public footpath through some fields which brings you to a bridge over the canal and onto the towpath. You can then follow the towpath all the way to Talybon-on-Usk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/uponnothing\/53128838996\/in\/dateposted-public\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53128838996_5997b968bf_b.jpg\" alt=\"Canal Walking\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The towpath is generally clear and in good repair, suitable for cycling or prams<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You will pass some pubs along the way, as well as a lock system and a few narrow boats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/uponnothing\/53128249047\/in\/dateposted-public\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53128249047_7182d0cb1d_b.jpg\" alt=\"Canal Walking\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Some Narrow boats<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The walk is largely level, with some mild ascent at the locks section as well as the section when you leave the towpath as the canal goes through a tunnel.
