Starting from the car park you can cross the little footbridge to walk one way, or follow the path directly down the other side of the river and not cross the footbridge until returning to the carpark at the end of the walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/uponnothing\/53437556424\/in\/dateposted-public\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53437556424_e229d1dab6_b.jpg\" alt=\"Cwmbran Park\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">One section of path runs alongside some sports pitches<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A short flat walk on good tarmac paths suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Includes nice sections of trees and follows the river down one bank and back up the other. Parking is free and plentiful and you could walk into Cwmbran afterwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/uponnothing\/53437556439\/in\/dateposted-public\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53437556439_0f6df55aa5_b.jpg\" alt=\"Cwmbran Park\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The bridge at the halfway point of the walk.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The paths are generally smooth and good, but there are a few patches of rougher concrete. This should not cause an issue for prams \/ wheelchairs though and the majority of the route is smooth tarmac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/uponnothing\/53437235761\/in\/dateposted-public\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53437235761_44c55c5ca2_b.jpg\" alt=\"Cwmbran Park\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">It is a nice walk in autumn as the trees change colour.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The river is pleasant enough and you might see dippers, kingfishers and wagtails along it.
