You can also walk a very short distance at the end to Fifteen by Llanwern Village Bar &amp; Hotel for refreshments. Going anti-clockwise you start at St Mary&#8217;s Church which then takes you across some open fields which could be muddy after rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2q8ZrZK\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53911679281_2690f972a5_b.jpg\" alt=\"Llanwern Circular Walk\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the stiles \/ bridges can be overgrown at certain times of the year as well. Nothing too serious, but wear trousers as you&#8217;ll be pushing through stinging nettles and brambles occasionally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2q8UT3B\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53910787987_36d70ac4a8_b.jpg\" alt=\"Llanwern Circular Walk\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This first part is nice and flat and follows the railway line for a short distance bringing you out onto a country lane which you cross and find the second church,\u00a0St Cadwaladr&#8217;s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2q91Giu\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53911922518_40a909071e_b.jpg\" alt=\"Llanwern Circular Walk\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After this it is back into fields and some ascent which broadens your views over the Gwent levels and leads to some small sections of woodland. When you get lower down again the paths can be muddy and seem to be well-used so are fairly well churned up.
