Fan Fraith is the smaller summit alongside Fan Gyhirych and is accessible from multiple directions, including a large gravel road – which is private so you cannot drive it, but you can walk it. I approached after summiting Fan Gyhirych which is a gentle walk over open moorland and you can pick up tracks along the way.

The summit is quite wide and fairly flat, with the highest point marked by a small pile of rocks.

I walked back down the gravel road and picked up the South Wales Traverse path which took me right towards Fan Nedd – my third and final summit of the day.
