Mynydd Llangynidr is a 558m hill above Llangynidr that offers great views of the classic Brecon Beacons and is topped by a very large cairn. Also of interest is that the route takes you via Blaen Onneu – 541m and topped with a trig point – and a Chartist Cave that you can have a nose in.

The route is via well work paths and is gentle throughout, with only a small amount of ascent as the car is already parked high up. A good walking route and fairly popular, although not everyone makes it to Mynydd Llangynidr.

There are many loops and paths going in most directions, I was only interested in a quick walk so after sitting a while sheltered by the cairn and taking in the views of Pen y Fan I headed back to the car.
