This is a nice circular walk up to the trig point of this 493m Neath Port Talbot hill. There are lots of places to park in Glyncorrwg and you can find your way quite easily to the start of the public footpath.
The start of the public footpath is quite easy to follow, but it is a pretty wet and boggy path in places and steep. It is also a little overgrown in the early forest sections, but I’ve certainly walked worse. Eventually you join up with some wide forest tracks / roads and the walking is then easy for the rest of the route. I didn’t meet any other walkers, but plenty of mountain bikers around – so beware taking any of the biking routes as a shortcut.
The paths up get you very close to the trigpoint, which is just in a patch of trees that you can walk through quite easily. There are no views from the trig point, but decent views are available nearby, albeit limited by the treeline in some directions.
The walk back follows wide forest tracks and then zig-zags down through the forest with lots of openings with decent views. I definitely recommend this circular route for that reason.
