The fifth summit on this challenging 9 mountain circular walk, Aran Benllyn is a rocky and interesting summit marked by a pile of rocks. Views are great, especially as the ridgeway drops down significantly beyond the summit.
The walk along the ridgeway is very nice, with plenty of rocks and interest along the way. Views are great, albeit the weather wasn’t great when I was walking in this section. Would be a great place to come back to.
The summit looks to have at least two high points, as it is rocky and uneven – very photogenic in the right light.
There is a pile of stones, which presumably marks the highest point, but it doesn’t look very clearly to be the most prominent spot.
This is a great part of the walk, although at this point you do turn back on yourself for the only part of the walk that you do twice – albeit you can skirt the two mountain summits.
