Gwaun Lydan is the second summit on a tough 9 mountain circular walk. It is a grassy, flat top with a wooden pole marking the highest point. The views towards Aran Fawddwy are spectacular.

The approach from Pen yr Allt Uchaf is gentle, but a little wet and boggy in places. There is a path to follow, although it fades as you cut right to the summit. Views are good all round, so even if the summit is underwhelming, the walk is worth it for the views alone.
