Summit number six on this challenging 9 mountain circular walk. The approach is interesting as you walk back along the ridgeway and drop down quite significantly before veering left and up along a fairly steep side towards the summit.

The views are good, the walking interesting with plenty of rocks on the way up and across to the summit.

You get a good view of this mountain from the start of the walk as you ascend the mountain opposite. You also get good views as you walk along the first ridgeway.

From the summit you can look over the lower (622m) Waun Camddwr and towards the dramatic and much higher Glasgwm (779m).

You can walk towards Waun Camddwr as directly as you want, the ground is very soft and bushy so hard going, with occasional wet sections. A nice little diversion to this mountain is well worth it.
