Lots of different places to park at Cardiff Bay so your start point might be slightly different, but it is easy to pick up this walk from any of the car parks.
You simply walk along the front and head towards the barrage. The walking is smooth tarmac so is great for kids to scoot or cycle – as there is a dedicated cycle lane all the way as well. There is also a park before the barrage and plenty of places to eat and drink. It can be quite exposed and windy so make sure you have layers if you are walking this in winter. A nice walk, ideal for a pram and with enough interesting points and play areas to keep kids happy.
Great views across to England as well as Flat and Steep Holm islands.
