A nice little walk around Cwmbran Boating Lake and the large play park. You could extend this walk and follow paths further up the park where you’re able to walk alongside the river for large stretches until you get into Cwmbran.
There is a good size free car park here, but it can get full on nice days as this is a popular spot. There is a café serving snacks and ice creams and in the summer you can hire boats in the little ponds to mess about in.
The playpark is well equipped and has plenty to keep young ones amused. There are lots of smooth grassy areas where people sunbathe and BBQ on nice days, so it has a real family-day-out feel to it. You can follow the clear paths to complete this very easy 1 mile route and it is all smooth tarmac so pram and wheelchair friendly.
