A gentle loop around this peaceful reservoir in leafy Cardiff. A decent sized car park – which charges you after a certain period of time, pay as you leave – and a nice cafe / restaurant make this a good spot for a short stroll.
This is a simple walk, start at the car park and then walk the short loop whichever direction you want and then you can always stop at the cafe for some food or drink. You could then walk the loop again if you wanted to.
Towards the bottom of the reservoir you can drop down to a picnic area, you can then take a lower path around or go back up and follow the water’s edge.
