A gentle stroll around this wonderful park. Best enjoyed in autumn when the trees are changing colours.
Cefn Onn Park is well signposted and the car park has toilet facilities and you might find a mobile coffee bar that serves snacks there as well. It can be very busy in autumn as the large range of different trees gives great colours – and it is also close to Cardiff so lots of potential walkers nearby!
The paths are easy to follow and you can stick to tarmac paths if you want, the route on this track does got up some steps and off the tarmac paths, but you could turn back earlier if you didn’t fancy that.
There are a couple of small ponds and a small stream running through the park. You will also find the history of the park and restoration on information signs. If you’re in Cardiff it makes a nice place to visit, if you are a keen photographer and want to capture autumn colours, it is also a good spot to spend an hour.
