A gentle walk with two sections of quiet country lanes for easy walking with the middle part taking in one of the best short craggy walks in South Wales.
Parking is in a generous layby and then it is a short walk up to the first country lane. You get some great views across the valley before turning right and up into the spoil tips, taking you to the start of a truly wonderful path. You get crags, classic South Wales Valleys views and then it opens up and you can see the central Brecon Beacons mountains. The route back is via another quite country lane, making this a good walk in most weathers.
