Last year legendary walker and Youtuber David Morgan completed The Buzzard Way, my 91 mile walking route taking in the best that the South Wales Valleys offers. This year another Youtuber, Adam from Brecon Beacons and Beyond, has become the first person to complete The Miners list. The Miners list is my personal list of the best 40 hills in South Wales.
He documented each summit walk on his YouTube channel and enjoyed seeing parts of South Wales he hadn’t necessarily thought about walking before. This is exactly what the list was designed to do, get people walking these often isolated and lonely hills that offer something a bit different to hiking in the Bannau Brycheniog.
I now owe him a t-shirt that I’m working on designing in the next couple of weeks – and I still need to design one for David after he completed the Buzzard Way. If you want to walk some lesser visited hills in South Wales then do have a look at the list, there are some absolute gems on it.
